What is owed at a glance, and last year's VAT
- AddedThe invoice list now opens with four figures: what customers still owe you, how much of it is overdue and how long the oldest has waited, what you have invoiced this month against last month, and how many days customers take to pay on average - with the share paid on time over the last twelve months. The question you open the list to answer is answered before you scroll.
- AddedThe vendor bill list does the same for the other side of the trade: what you have to pay, what is already overdue, what falls due in the next seven days and what you have been billed this month. Due in the next seven days is the one to look at on a Monday - it is the week's payments, before any of them turn late.
- AddedThe cards are also filters. Click Open or Overdue on the invoices, or To pay, Overdue or Due in the next 7 days on the bills, and the list below shows exactly those documents; click again to see everything. Tabs above the list do the same - All, Draft, Open, Overdue and Paid, with Due soon on bills - and the number on a card is always the number of rows it filters to, because both are worked out the same way.
- ImprovedA document dated in the past now gets the VAT rate of its own date. Enter a 2024 invoice and the standard rate offers itself as 22%, with the totals worked out at 22% while you type - not today's 24%. e-Hansa has always kept the rate history of every tax, and the saved document was always charged correctly; the line picker and the running totals now agree with it, so there is no reason to add an “old VAT” tax to the register just to type in last year's paperwork.
- ImprovedA tax that did not yet exist on the document's date is not offered on it. A line that already carries one says so - “not in force on this date” - instead of quietly showing a rate that never applied.
- ImprovedEmpty rows no longer stop a document from saving. A new invoice, quote, order or bill opens with two blank lines to type into; fill in one and the untouched second row is now simply left out, rather than being refused for having no description. A row that has anything on it - an article, a price, a VAT rate, a few words - is still checked exactly as before.
- ImprovedA draft can be deleted from inside it. The bin on the list has always allowed it, but once the document was open the only way was back to the list; Delete is now at the top of the ⋯ menu, asking the same question the list does. It is on invoices, bills, quotes, sales and purchase orders - cancelled orders too, as on their lists - stock transfers and stock counts.
